With ircdhosting it's possible to run your own ircd server. The ircd packages contains many diffrent things then a shell account your get more resource available so that your chat server manage easy 200 up to 1000 client. You have a number of background processes on which your irc deamon can run and the required services. The server is connected with a 100mbit connection to our switch.
